The U of L Art Gallery is a partner in an exciting pilot project to conduct research on European paintings in Canadian collections that have provenance gaps related to WWII and to create national best practice guidelines for further research. The project is organized by the Canadian Art Museum Directors Organization (CAMDO) and the U of L Art Gallery is one of 6 partner art galleries for the project. Janet Brooke is the expert on Holocaust-era provenance research who is leading the project. She will be in Lethbridge working on the U of L Art Collection and will give an informal talk on the research process and challenges for the Canadian context.
