Call for Proposals – ACSE 2013 Poster Design Competition – University of Lethbridge Art Gallery

PROPOSAL DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1, 2013

This call for proposals is intended to assist the professional development of students interested in a career in design. Students are invited to submit a design proposal that will produce an engaging, effective design to promote the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery’s Annual Curated Student Exhibition 2013.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of: Chad Patterson, the Art Gallery’s designer; Jane Edmundson, the Art Gallery’s Preparator/Assistant Curator; Christine Clark, New Media Graduate Studies Student.

Three candidates will be notified on Tuesday, February 5 and interviews will be scheduled for Wednesday, February 6 and Thursday, February 7. The Art Gallery will choose and notify the successful applicant on Friday, February 8.

The successful candidate will work with Chad Patterson to design a promotional poster for the ACSE 2013 and will receive $250 and 20 copies of the poster. The finalized poster will be posted March 1, 2013.

1. A letter of interest that includes a statement about your background and career interest.

2. 3 images of your previous design work. Please send .JPG images with a file size that does not exceed 5MB each.

The competition is open to any current University of Lethbridge undergraduate student registered in at least one New Media course for the Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 semester.
