You can still find many of our projects on our “ARTLab From Home” YouTube channel.

All activities are geared to be flexible for all ages from kindergarten through to adults, and use accessible household materials. If you have any questions about the crafts please email our Program Coordinator Kirsten Meiszinger.

2024 – 25 Schedule

September 21: Miniature Magnet Painting

  • This month, we’re creating mini acrylic paintings and turning them into adorable fridge magnets. Challenge yourself with tiny details and images! If you’re not into this activity, our art buffet will be available with plenty of other options to explore.

October 5: Printmaking with Katie Marie Bruce

  • Guest artist Katie Marie Bruce is back to lead a special printmaking session! After last year’s success, we’re repeating the crowd favourite: Silkscreen Mono-printing. We’ll use watercolour crayons to create designs on a screen and transfer them onto paper. If you can draw with crayons, you can definitely do this—it’s simple and fun!

November 30: Embroidery

  • Come join us on Saturday to explore the art of embroidery. We’ll supply everything needed to make a small, embroidered piece. With books, templates, and our knowledgeable team, you’ll create something lovely!

January 11: Button Making

  • Every year, we host a fundraiser for the University Campus Food Bank. Stop by to create a pin-back button and support a great cause. Design your own image with drawing, collage, or painting, and turn it into a charming pin. Prefer something else? We have a variety of art supplies for you to enjoy!

February 8: Printmaking with Katie Marie Bruce

  • Guest artist Katie Marie Bruce is returning to guide us through another exciting printmaking session. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn techniques from a skilled printmaker and enhance your craft.

March 8: Polymer Clay Sculpting

  • Let’s get creative with Polymer Clay! Shape your own figure, earrings, or keychain, and then we’ll bake them to harden. Afterward, you can add a splash of color with painting. We’ll have some earring and keychain hardware available while supplies last, so come join the fun!

April 5: Watercolour Painting with Beany Dootjes

  • Join us for a watercolor painting session.
